The art of the egg . . .

EggZotic

Contemporary and traditional pysanky designs by Wendy Hallstrom

Welcome to EggZotic, a celebration of egg art!

Pysanky is a centuries old tradition of dying Easter eggs. The style of decorating originated in Ukraine and Eastern Europe and has spread around the world. Come and explore the range of Pysanky, also known as Ukrainian Easter eggs, that I create.

I write on all kinds of eggs – chicken, duck, goose and occasionally on ostrich and quail eggs. I use traditional designs and my own creations. Pysanky are not just for Easter. They are used for year round decoration and many egg artists have designs for Christmas and other holidays.
